River Sligachan, Skye
Sligachan Skye. The River Sligachan on the Isle of Skye runs down from the Cuillins the most famous of the the mountain ranges on Skye. It heads out to sea via the loch bearing the same name about 14 miles south of the main Skye town of Portree. Just to the right of this photograph is the small hamlet of Sligachan where the hotel and camp grounds are very popular with hill walkers and climbers. There is also a picturesque old bridge just a few metres behind this point which is no longer open to cars.
